Field Organizer
The New York State Democratic Committee is seeking Field Organizers to serve on the
frontlines of our grassroots field program to help ensure a Democratic victory up and down the
ticket in New York this cycle.
Position Title: Field Organizer
Start Date: As soon as possible
End Date: November 15, 2022
Location: Various regions across New York State. This position consists of mostly in-person
work.
Salary: $5,000/month

Responsibilities:
- Implementing all aspects of the voter contact program in assigned areas.
- Training, recruiting, and managing volunteers and interns.
- Attending local events to recruit volunteers, build new community relationships, and strengthen existing relationships.
- Submitting nightly and weekly reports of voter contact and volunteer recruitment numbers.
- Meeting daily and weekly voter contact and volunteer recruitment goals.
Qualifications:
- At least one cycle or year of campaign experience is preferred - but not required.
- Kindness, empathy, and dedication in a high-pressure campaign environment.
- Commitment to electing Democrats.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with people from many backgrounds.
- Ability to prioritize competing demands and strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- A true self-starter who is highly organized and detail-oriented.
- Ability to work non-traditional hours.
- Access to a cellphone and laptop.
