Technical Writer (Consumer Electronics)

The Sr. Technical Writer serves an integral role in the overall success and profitability of Cable Matters. This position demands a thoughtful individual with a tactical mindset to prioritize and optimize documentation, instructions and content for the Cable Matters website and Amazon store.

·      Provide product titles for all newly released products

·      Create product descriptions with optimized keywords for Amazon and other platforms

·      Write user manuals, quick start guides and other instructions

·      Coordinate with Marketing team to enhance Amazon A+ pages and Cable Matters website content (whitepapers, etc.)

·      Oversee graphic design and video production content

·      Provide content for marketing campaigns to increase customer conversion rates

·      Excellent verbal and written communication skills

·      Aptitude and intellectual curiosity for explaining complex technical concepts

·      Detail-oriented ability to extract information from specifications and drawings

·      Multi-tasking ability to work on several projects simultaneously

·      Proficiency with MS Office Suite applications (Adobe CC product suite is desired)

·      Self-motivated problem solver requiring minimal supervision

Minimum Qualifications

·      Bachelor’s Degree in English or a related field

·      3 years of writing experience (preferably in a technical field)

·      Demonstrated ability to fulfill the above job responsibilities and required skills
