GID Summer Internship Program. Interns will be evaluated during the interview process and placed on one of four different teams, based on their interest, expertise, and core competencies. These four teams are: Multifamily Portfolio and Asset Management, Multifamily Acquisitions, Multifamily Debt and Capital Markets, Industrial Asset Management and Acquisitions. Each intern will be responsible for supporting their specific team on projects ranging from valuations, market research, data analysis, and reporting.
 

INTERNSHIP HIGHLIGHTS

 
Participants will be assigned both a manager and a mentor throughout the course of the internship. Mentors and managers will serve as an intern’s most immediate resource for questions, workload requirement, guidance, and support.
 
Summer Interns will work closely with the members of their team, ranging from Analysts to Senior Vice Presidents. Interns will develop a strong understanding of the multifamily and industrial sectors and the assets and markets within the various GID portfolios. Interns are encouraged to share ideas and take initiative on projects to support the development of GID’s investor relationships as well as the team's day to day activities. Over the course of the internship program, the interns will gain core competencies and foundational knowledge necessary to succeed in the real estate sector.
 
The program includes a robust training curriculum designed specifically for summer interns. The skills learned during these sessions will culminate in a presentation delivered at the end of the program to members of GID’s Executive Committee.

Educational and social events are scheduled throughout the program that provide knowledge sharing, professional development and networking.
 

QUALIFICATIONS

 
The summer intern role is for highly motivated, underrepresented candidates pursuing a college or university degree and is usually undertaken by rising juniors or seniorsIf you have a demonstrated track record of:
 
  • Interest in private equity and/or real estate
  • Working closely with team members on presentations and financial analysis
  • Performing comprehensive and in-depth analyses
  • Preparing presentations, proposals and other marketing materials
  • Strong competency in MS Office, especially in Excel and PowerPoint, Power BI is a bonus but not required
  • Strong teamwork, communication, interpersonal and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work additional hours as needed
 

DURATION

 
This full-time, 10 week paid internship begins on Monday, June 5, 2023 and ends on Friday, August 11, 2023.
