Desktop Support Specialist

PrismHR has an exciting opportunity for an IT professional to join our team and serve as an Desktop Support/Enterprise IT Specialist, on the Enterprise IT team.  The Enterprise IT Specialist will report to the Sr. Manager of Enterprise IT and will work with a wide variety of individuals both internal and external to the organization. The ability to maintain structure while also being adaptable and flexible is critical, as the organization will continue to experience acquisitions and growth at a rapid rate. This is a hybrid role, based out of our Rolling Meadows, IL office, with on-site office duties required, frequency to be determined.
Responsibilities:
  • As an Desktop Support/Enterprise IT Specialist, you will serve as the first point of contact to provide technical support to end users
  • Perform troubleshooting and resolving hardware, software, and network issues.  
  • Perform a variety of basic and advanced help desk support duties.
Qualifications:
3-5 years' experience in the following areas:
  • Working in a Corporate IT / Helpdesk environment
  • Focus on Customer Service, with a focus on remote & in-person technical support
  • Assist users in resolving IT related issues using multiple communication channels 
  • Install and configure computer systems and user account permissions
  • Performing diagnostics and making informed decisions on proper resolutions
  • Creating internal Documentation in troubleshooting steps
  • Organization of company owned assets (Asset Tracking / Mobile Device Management)
  • Working in a helpdesk ticketing system (JIRA preferred) 
  • Audio/Visual knowledge – production of webinars and online events
  • High level of communication and response time with teammates and leadership
  • Availability off-hours as needed, and for any planned maintenance

  • Endpoint Detection solutions (Desktop Central)
  • Office 365 / Google Workspace
  • Slack instant messaging
  • Telephony (RingCentral)
  • PC Imaging (MDT)
  • AV equipment (Camera, Mics, etc.)
  • Encryption (Bitlocker/Filevault)
  • Onboarding and Offboarding of users
