Systems Monitoring Analyst
Wolfram, creator of Mathematica, Wolfram|Alpha and Wolfram Language, has an exciting opportunity available for a Systems Monitoring Analyst to join its Global Technical Operations team. You will work in a fast-paced environment where you’ll never lack for new and challenging projects.
The ideal candidate will be able to work both independently and as part of a team, seek challenges and take pride in their work and achievements. They will also have moderate Linux skills, be attentive and responsive on a daily basis and be comfortable with setting up and configuring virtual machines with guidance.
Responsibilities
- Monitoring production-level machines and servers
- Coordinating with departments within the Global Technical Operations department for issue resolution
- Setting up and configuring virtual machine environments
Skills required
- Working Linux experience
- Ability to work well both in a team environment and independently
- Ability to solve problems using available resources
- Comfort with referencing and modifying documentation for machine and incident handling
- Comfort with some level of ambiguity and ability to adapt
Skills desired
- Ability to learn and be reactive to adapting situations
- Experience working with Python and Bash scripting
- Creativity and a passion for being on the cutting edge of technology
- Strong ability to communicate within teams and interpersonally
