Analyst/Associate - Business Valuation Practice

Analysts in the Valuation Advisory group at Stout perform engagements for various different contexts including purchase price accounting and other financial reporting related matters, estate and gift tax and other shareholder planning transactions, fairness opinions and solvency opinions, , business and family disputes, and other corporate, tax, and litigation-related matters. Analysts at Stout have the opportunity to gain client exposure and improve their technical skills while working under Stout professionals.

As an Analyst, a typical day might include the following:
  • Performing industry and company research;
  • Analyzing financial statements;
  • Preparing due diligence questions for client calls and meetings;
  • Attending meeting or calls with company representatives;
  • Creating detailed financial and valuation models (such as Discounted Cash Flow, Guideline Public Company, and Merger and Acquisition analyses); and
  • Creating the end deliverable for the client (presentations, analysis packets, written report).

The Analyst will be part of a firm where the culture and exceptional client service is inspired from leadership down. Analysts have significant opportunities for growth and advancement in their Valuation Advisory career at Stout. Analysts also interact with senior-level professionals and clients on a regular basis.

Qualifications:
  • BA/BS
  • Preferred, but not required coursework in Accounting, Economics, Finance, or related discipline
  • Strong academic record
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Two to three years of professional experience (preferably in valuation or a related discipline)
  • Strong analytical, verbal, technical and written skills
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must be eligible to work in the US, without employer sponsorship, at the time of hire and in the future.

Work Location:
Work location is flexible if approved by the company except that position may not be performed remotely from Colorado.
