Research Technician I - Trotman Lab

The Trotman Lab at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory is accepting applications for a full-time Research Technician. The successful candidate will be working as part of a team to defeat cancer, performing lab research and related cancer trials in mice. The Trotman lab is developing new cancer therapy using tissue culture techniques and genetically engineered mice that recapitulate human cancer. The purpose of this position is to test novel therapies before they are tested in human. Responsibilities will also include general laboratory organization and maintenance of supplies. Opportunities for advancement are possible.

Position Requirements
Qualifications:
Education: Applicant should have a BS or MS degree in a scientific discipline.
Skills and experience: Applicants must be highly organized, self-motivated, have general laboratory experience, and be eager to succeed as part of a team. Previous experience with lab techniques such as tissue culture, molecular biology techniques or animal handling are a plus.
