2023 Summer Analyst, Wealth Management Solutions (Denver)

Ares Summer Analyst Program
Sales, ARES Wealth Management Solutions (AWMS)
As a summer analyst, you will learn about our specializations, build valuable skillsets, and cultivate exceptional relationships.

Ares Overview

Ares Management Corporation (“Ares” or the “Firm”) is a publicly traded, leading global alternative asset manager with over $300 billion of assets under management ("AUM") and approximately 2,100 employees. We seek to deliver attractive performance to our investor base across our investment groups and strategies, including credit, private equity, real estate, infrastructure and strategic initiatives. The firm is headquartered in Los Angeles with offices across the United States, Europe, Asia and Australia. Its common shares are traded on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol "ARES".

Ares believes each of its investment groups is a market leader based on assets under management and investment performance. Our four distinct but complementary investment groups have the ability to invest across a company’s capital structure—from senior debt to common equity. The Firm was built upon the fundamental principle that each group benefits from being part of the broader platform. We believe the synergies from this multi-asset strategy provide our professionals with insights into industry trends, access to significant deal flow and the ability to assess relative value.
Since our inception in 1997, we have adhered to a disciplined investment philosophy that focuses on delivering compelling risk-adjusted investment returns throughout market cycles. We strive to maintain a consistent credit-based approach in targeting well-structured investments in high quality businesses and real estate assets. We believe our growth in becoming one of the largest alternative asset managers is a testament to our experienced management team, focus on performance and high-quality investor base, which includes large pension funds, university endowments, sovereign wealth funds, banks and insurance companies.

Why Work With Us?
Like our various investment verticals, we invest time in our employees and retaining homegrown talent. Our internship experience seeks to enrich your knowledge of our businesses and the industry at large. Marketing: The marketing team is a strategic partner that provides innovative content, revenue driving strategies and elevates our brand to position AWMS as an industry leader. The marketing team creates customized campaigns for different audience types utilizing thought leadership and/or product content, which is then packaged and merchandised to our partners via email, website, social media, printed collateral, regional and/or large-scale events, and to the sales team to use in 1:1 communications.

Product Management: responsible for the overall product positioning which includes the development and maintenance of product features and benefits, broad industry and macro trends research and impacts on the sector, competitive intel, product and industry marketing, and due diligence.

FAST Team: The Financial Advisor Solutions Team (FAST) provides research, education, and tools that demonstrate the diversification and performance benefits alternatives can offer within a broader portfolio. We seek to position the WMS Sales team as consultative and solutions-oriented partners to financial advisors by offering the educational tools and resources they need to ‘sit on the same side of the table’ as financial advisors and their clients.
