Postdoctoral Fellow - Immunotherapy and Cancer Biology

Position Summary
The Beckman Research Institute of City of Hope is looking for a talented Postdoctoral Fellow in Dr. Ling Li’s laboratory to pursue groundbreaking biomedical research in immunotherapy and cancer biology. Our goal is to do the best science, while training to be the next generation of scientific leaders. The successful candidate will have the opportunity of addressing ambitious research questions in areas such as characterization of immunosuppressive driver in multiple leukemia subtypes using cutting-edge methodologies: single-cell level transcriptomics/proteomics, high-throughput CRISPR screening and micro-environment modeling in knock-in and humanized mouse models, drug screening platform, etc. We offer a top-notch research environment with ideas, projects, resources, infrastructure, global collaborations, and mindset for innovative research. The laboratory led by PI has conducted the most forefront science and is highly productive with publications in high-impact journals in the past few years.
Responsibilities of the position will include but not limit to: in vivo disease modeling, customized sequencing library preparation, interpretation of genomic and biomedical data, manuscript writing, postdoc fellowship application, and research work presentation.
Qualifications
Basic education, experience and skills required for consideration:
  • Ph.D. degree in Life Sciences looking to pursue an academic career in biomedical research
  • Background Cell/Molecular/Developmental biology, immunology, hematology, or other biomedical science are all encouraged to apply.
  • Prior experience in immunology, next-generation sequencing, cancer genomics/biology, molecular mechanism study, mouse modeling, etc. are highly valued.
