Wealth Management Advice & Solutions Rotational Development Program Associate

Opportunity Overview :

Rotational Development Program:
The Rotational Development Program (RDP) provides a combination of rotational assignments, mentoring, and coaching to build a broad range of experience across business areas critical to Edward Jones. This is a fourteen-month program, designed to provide an opportunity for RDPs to boost their career and develop business competencies by working collaboratively with program peers and leaders while contributing to key assignments.

Along with on-the-job experiences, every rotation has learning and development opportunities supporting each program theme. Rotation themes reinforce expectations for the participants' development progression throughout the program.
 
Program Inclusions:
  • Paid full-time study to obtain Series 66 license
  • Project and thought leadership through meaningful assignments
  • Assigned mentors who provide advice and guidance throughout the program to support career growth and personal development
  • Ongoing engagement and strong support from program leadership and cohort

Wealth Management Advice & Solutions Overview: 

The mission of the Wealth Management Advice & Solutions (WMAS) is to design and champion the Edward Jones Client Experience. This is accomplished by equipping client teams with the insights and complete wealth management expertise, products and solutions throughout the client journey.  

From branding and communication to the actual stocks, bonds and mutual funds offered, your work will have a significant impact not only within the WMAS division but firm wide. Working in this collaborative and fast-paced environment, you will be challenged to bring fresh perspectives that allow us to continually exceed client expectations in an ever-evolving landscape. 

Within WMAS, there are numerous roles specific to Wealth Management and Marketing, Systems, Tools; Data Analytics; and Trading, Investment Research, and Product Management, that help the division fulfill this mission. 

Position Overview Systems, Tools, and Data Analytics: 

  • Rotational Development Associates on the Systems, Tools, and Data Analytics track will have the opportunity to work side-by-side our highly skilled professionals designing, enhancing, and supporting our systems and tools. 
  • Rotational Development Associates within the Systems, Tools, and Data Analytics track could be responsible for the following: 
  • Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to design and deliver world-class technology solutions for branch teams and clients 
  • Developing workflow tools for our branch teams to more effectively serve our clients 
  • Enhancing existing systems to ensure they are user-friendly, scalable, and compliant 
  • Supporting users of internally-built systems and tools on a daily basis 
  • As a Rotational Development Associate within Systems, Tools, and Data Analytics, you will also be given meaningful and challenging assignments throughout the 12-month program. As you cross-train and develop during the program, you may have an opportunity to rotate through the following areas: 
  • Solutions Tools 
  • Trading Systems and Controls 
  • Digital Client Experience 
  • Investment Advisory Platform Development 

Position Overview Trading, Investment Research, and Product: 

  • Rotational Development Associates within the Trading, Investment Research, and Product Management track could be responsible for the following:  
  • Perform daily trading-related responsibilities, including pricing evaluation and position management 
  • Research, develop and recommend platform/product design changes  
  • Conduct security, portfolio or investment manager research 
  • Determine rationale for offering an individual security to clients 
  • Deliver client service excellence by researching and resolving branch inquiries 
  • As a Rotational Development Associate within Trading, Investment Research, and Product Management you will also be given meaningful and challenging assignments throughout the 12-month program. As you cross-train and develop during the program, you may have an opportunity to rotate through the following areas: 
  • Platform and Product Management 
  • Equity and Fixed Income Trading 
  • Advice & Guidance (Client Needs Research, Investment Manager Research, Securities Research, etc.) 
  • Product Review 
Position Overview Wealth Management and Marketing: 

Rotational Development Program (RDP) associates on the Wealth Management and Marketing track will have the opportunity to work side-by-side with our highly skilled professionals on equipping branch teams with client insights and complete wealth management resources.   
RDP associates on the Wealth Management and Marketing track will partner with stakeholders across the firm to: 
  • Support the adoption of a goals-based approach to investing, 
  • Support the change management process in order to gain branch team adoption in product, system, and process changes.  
  • Supporting the development and delivery of resources, tools, and training to branch teams 
  • Gathering and applying insights from branch teams about client strategies and branch team workflow 
  • Ensuring communication of timely opportunities and risks to branch teams 
  • Supporting key stakeholders on cross-divisional projects 
  • Supporting communication to key leaders in the regions 

Position Requirements :

Students who:
  • Are working towards a graduation date of December 2022 or May 2023 (Graduating before program start date)
  • Drive to succeed and have a strong interest in the financial services industry
  • Have excellent leadership, communication, teamwork and service skills
  • Demonstrate leadership in the community and campus organizations
  • Multitask and prioritize to ensure maximum productivity
  • Utilize critical thinking to challenge current processes and seek opportunities to improve
  • Are eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
  • A preferred major for this opportunity, including, but not limited to:
