Private Equity Intern

Great Point Partners, founded in 2003 and based in Greenwich, CT, is a leading health care investment firm with investing in the United States, Canada, and Western Europe. Great Point’s fund history: GPP I, $156 million; GPP II, $215 million; GPP III, $305 million, and GPP IV (soon to be activated) $500 million.

We partner with innovative executives to build successful health care companies by utilizing both our capital and our industry expertise. The private equity funds invest across all sectors of the health care industry with emphasis on biopharmaceutical services and supplies, pharmaceutical infrastructure, alternate site care, medical device, and information technology enabled businesses. The firm pursues a proactive and proprietary approach to sourcing investments and tuck-in acquisitions for its portfolio companies.

The Analyst will be dedicated to the firm’s private equity effort and will work directly with the senior investment professionals. The primary focus (80%+ of allocated time) of the Analyst is on deal sourcing, including: (i) direct telephonic outreach to companies, their founders and entrepreneurs and Chief Executives, (ii) attending numerous industry conferences and meetings, (iii) speaking with Key Opinion Leaders, and (iv) conducting primary research in attractive health care verticals for which to invest. The Analyst’s secondary activities will be in the areas of due diligence, financial modeling, and post-investment work with portfolio companies, as well as participation in various internal firm activities. The position requires superior interpersonal skills, creativity and analytical abilities. Familiarity with accounting and financial modeling as well as an interest in healthcare are a plus but are not required. Candidates are expected to have a demonstrated interest in business, have strong research skills and, most importantly, a strong desire to prospect for new investments.

Start Date: June 2023 – August 2023. Those who will be rising juniors or rising seniors at the time of this internship are eligible.
