Data & Analytics Intern

Job Summary
The Data & Analytics Intern program will provide you with an opportunity to utilize your analytical and quantitative skills using cutting edge analytic and visualization tools. You will gain experience by leveraging analytics to help providers understand performance, creating tools to measure operational performance, measuring the impact of clinical interventions, and using data science for forecasting and prediction. This is a hybrid intern position with in person work expected 1-2x per week.

Key Responsibilities/Duties – what you will be doing
  • Working collaboratively with the team to learn how to apply an analytic mindset in collaboration with stakeholders to find and solve problems
  • Learning about the structure and delivery of healthcare from the payor perspective
  • Identifying and evaluating medical cost improvement opportunities
  • Developing knowledge around programming skills (e.g., SAS, SQL, R, Python, Alteryx, Tableau, Cloudera, Teradata) and software packages

Qualifications – what you need to perform the job

  • Currently enrolled juniors or seniors, with majors in an analytical field
  • Strong analytical, communication and quantitative skills
  • An interest in business analysis, data science and developing programming skills

*Will consider currently enrolled graduate students case by case

First rounds of screening and interviews will be conducted beginning 10/24 and will consider complete applications that are received by 10/23 at 5pm EDT. Applications received after 10/23 will be considered in subsequent rounds on an as needed basis.
