The Terzian Lab (https://som.ucdenver.edu/Profiles/Faculty/Profile/20820) is looking to hire a student worker. Dr. Terzian is interested in examining the role of the tumor suppressor p53 in development, tumor initiation, progression, and metastasis with the hope of improving treatment of certain developmental and pigmentary disorders, and cancer therapies that specifically target p53 mutations. 
 
The student worker will conduct basic experiments such as DNA extraction, genotyping, immunostaining, mouse husbandry and necropsy, and data entry. The student worker will assist in organizing lab material and records. The successful candidate will need to take all required lab safety training before starting work.
Good organization, strong work ethic, excellent record keeping abilities. The candidate is expected to work independently and in a team setting and be able to multitask.
 
Minimum Requirements: Enrolled in molecular biology, cell biology, biomedical engineering or equivalent undergraduate or graduate degree.
 
Preferred qualifications: Prior lab experience of minimum 6 months.
 
Hours: The candidate will need to commit to 15 hours of work per week. Occasional work on the weekends and holidays may be required.
