Development Manager

FamilyAid is Greater Boston’s leading provider of solutions to family homelessness. Its mission is to empower parents and caregivers facing homelessness to secure and sustain housing and build strong foundations for their children’s futures.
The hundred-plus year-old agency has launched bold new strategies to reduce two-generation homelessness by dramatically increasing its prevention, housing, and supportive services for children and parents, putting the organization on a fast-growth trajectory.
To support these strategies, the agency seeks a dynamic and driven Development Manager to support the agency’s deepening services to more than 5,000 families.
Reporting to the Director of Development, the Development Manager will support the Chief Advancement Officer, Major Gifts Officer, and Grants Manager and will collaborate with the Marketing Manager to accomplish development goals and activities.
The Development Manager will coordinate all data-related needs of a professionally run, fast-paced, high-performing development office, will manage all gift processing, including data entry, coding, timely and accurate gift acknowledgments and reporting for the Development department, and reconciliation with the Finance team. Will manage the donor database (currently DonorPerfect), ensuring data is accurate and the system is optimized for the development department’s needs.
The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 3 years of professional development experience. Donor database and project management, Excel and superior analytical skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects are all required.

Work Schedule and Conditions: Full-time 40 hours/week, hybrid work schedule with regular onsite presence at FA headquarters and some evening and weekend work required.
