Emergency Services Clinician

Emergency Department Re-assessment Clinician
Sign On Bonus: $4,000.00
Pay Rate: $50,000.00 and up (Depending on licensure)
Riverbend Community Mental Health, Inc., one of the largest providers of community-based behavioral health services in New Hampshire, is currently seeking an Emergency Department Re-Assessment Clinician. The clinician will be responsible for provision of services in the emergency department at Concord Hospital relative to the assessment of mental status and disposition, to include execution of legal orders, care coordination, admission and discharge planning.
The schedule is Monday-Friday, 8AM-4PM, however working withing a 24 hour multidisciplinary team requiring some flexibility in hours.
Responsibilities: 
  • Responsible for the 24 hour assessments of clients boarding in the Emergency Room.
  • Maintain all IEA paperwork and coordinate with court personnel, nursing staff and client for IEA hearings.
  • Maintain training and relevant knowledge of RSAs, He-Ms, and legislative changes related to IEAs, OTOs, and CDs in NH.
  • Develop and coordinate disposition with Emergency Department medical providers, psychiatry, and patient collateral as appropriate.
  • Apply strong clinical judgement in the development of clinical formulations, dispositions, and safety plans.
  • Complete clinical documentation in accordance with medical necessity guidelines and agency standards.
  • Complete referral packets and send to eligible receiving facilities for inpatient level of care.
  • Update tracking boards, communication logs, record assessments in Cerner and Riverbend Electronic Health Records (EHR).
  • Participate in team and agency meetings, trainings, and supervision as assigned.
  • Demonstrate and employ flexibility, critical thinking, and promote client centered care.
  • Ability to work flexible hours to ensure the provision of crisis interventions and documentation.
  • Attain and maintain credentials at Concord Hospital.
  • Attend trainings, meetings and supervision as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field required.
  • Eligibility for NH License as LCMHC, LICSW or LMFT required
  • Valid driver's license, personal vehicle, and auto insurance or access to a reasonable alternative required.
  • Minimum of two years' work experience in a mental health treatment environment preferred.
  • Experience working with adults and/or a forensic population preferred.
  • Willingness to pursue credentialing at Concord Hospital is required.
  • Travel to client homes, community locations, state agencies, or other locations necessitated by job duties is required.
