The Security Analysis team sits within Service Delivery, working alongside the operations team to secure our customers’ environments. We aim to be a proactive, trusted advisor to our clients, assisting them in continually, incrementally improving their security posture. We achieve this by working alongside clients to understand their business and interpret this into policies, risks that should be communicated and technologies/services that may assist them in mitigating these risks. Solutions may be within our own portfolio, 3rd parties that we work closely with or their own technologies that we assist them with.
The Security Consultant role will aim to provide ongoing reporting and security centric discussions occurring as part of joint services reviews. The role covers a wide range of security topics and issues, and variations between clients. It requires a depth of knowledge. pragmatism, and self-sufficiency.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure firewall configurations are aligned to vendor best practice recommendations.
- Understand customer environments and assess security risks.
- Assist clients in progressing their security posture
- Create roadmaps to improve the customer security posture
- Assist internal BDMs on ho service offerings can assist clients
- Participate in defining security-related best practices, and assist in improving/developing security offerings
- Maintain technical acumen and apply as necessary
- Other duties as assigned
Skills and Qualifications:
- 3+ years of network/security implementation and/or management experience required
- Strong understanding of network routing and switching protocols required
- Experience with next generation firewall technology (Palo Alto, Check Point, Fortinet, etc.) required
- Experience with cloud (AWS, Azure, GC) network and/or security desirable
- Professional certifications (CISSP, CISM, ACE, PCNSE, CCIE Sec)
- Excellent analytical, interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate complex technical issues in an easily understood manner
- Resourceful, with the ability to work independently
- Strong time management skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task activities with shifting priorities
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Systems preferred
- CISSP or CISM preferable
- Degree in computing related subject preferable.
