Consultant - Forensic Accounting and Commercial Litigation

StoneTurn is seeking a qualified Consultant to join team to work on Forensic Accounting Investigations and Commercial Litigation matters
 
Job Summary
 
In this role, you will be responsible for supporting financial and economic analyses typically performed within the forensic accounting investigation and dispute resolution environment. You will add value to our team by having strong analytical skills and excellent prioritization skills. This position requires you to be a person with strong interpersonal, communication and technical skills. 
 
Major Responsibilities
  • Forensic accounting, and commercial litigation projects including expert reports
  • Understand and incorporate client needs and objectives into work plans and work product
  • Read, understand and interpret financial statements and records
  • Gather, organize, review and analyze voluminous supporting documentation for a variety of accounting investigations and commercial litigation matters
  • Compile and analyze facts and circumstances to formulate, substantiate and critique various damages theories, claims or conclusions
  • Understand, develop and utilize computer models streamlining detailed and potentially complex information into clear and concise analyses
  • Perform financial analyses, summarize and report results through multiple forms of client deliverables
  • Develop and communicate work product, both orally and in writing to management and/or clients
  • Develop and maintain client relationships and relationships with firm executives
  • Develop and maintain working relationships with internal technology teams including data analytics and forensic technology
  • Participate in internal initiatives including business and professional development
  • Willingness and flexibility to travel approximately 10-20% dependent on individual project needs
Qualifications / Requirements
  • 0+ year of experience, 1-2 years of relevant experience in professional services (investigation, litigation, audit, or advisory) is preferred
  • BA is business discipline including accounting, finance or economics
  • CPA candidates are a plus (completed or in process)
  • Strong analytical skills related to accounting, finance and economic issues
  • Excellent prioritization skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Access) with strong understanding of data manipulation functions of Excel (vlookups, pivot tables, IF statements, etc)
  • Microsoft Access is a plus. 
  • Strong written, communication and interpersonal skills
