Preventice Software Engineering Intern

Title: Software Engineering Intern (Preventice team)
Location: Arden Hills, MN or Rochester, MN
Duration: May - August 2023 (dates flexible)
 
The Software Engineering Intern is responsible for assisting the development team while gaining valuable experience.

Your Opportunity: 
As a Software Engineering Intern at Boston Scientific, you will…
  • Help develop applications using Web development technologies
  • Perform programming tasks, such as development of front-end, back-end Web-based applications, and Web/Internet services
  • Document existing and new functionality
  • Document requirements, tasks, and defects
  • Identify and resolve existing defects in applications
  • Other duties as assigned
 
Your Qualifications: 
  • Currently working toward computer science / software engineering / computer engineering degree (or comparable)
  • GPA of 3.0 or higher preferred
  • Understands Object-Oriented Design and Analysis (OOD and OOA)
  • Understanding of web design concepts including usability, page layout, and navigational structures
  • Understanding of the software development lifecycle
  • Knowledge in some of the following categories:
  • C# or Java
  • HTML5, CSS, Angular, AngularJS, Javascript, JQuery
  • Writing SQL queries
  • JSON, YAML, XML
  • Understanding of version control – Git
  • Designing and implementing Web Services (REST, SOAP)
  • Visual Studio, Eclipse or similar IDEs
  • Proficiency with Office suite (Word, Excel…)
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Self-motivated and outgoing nature
  • Hard-working and fast-learning
