Mission of the Position
The mission of the role is to 1) conduct and assist in experiments related to the removal of environmental contaminants in groundwater 2) support commercialization of technology related to waste treatment 3) manage lab equipment and materials. This is a part-time, hourly position that requires 100% time in the lab.

Key Criteria/Requirements
  • Associate or B.S. degree in sciences.
  • 0-1 years of Laboratory experience.
  • Ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Strong problem-solving skills independently and with collaborators.
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows and Office tools
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as in team environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Adaptable and able to work in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities & Measurable Accountabilities
  • Perform a variety of laboratory experiments following SOPs and assist with SOP optimization
  • Operate, maintain, and clean laboratory instruments and equipment
  • Make required buffers and other solutions for fulfilling lab experiments.
  • Comply with all safety standards
  • Maintain a lab notebook; Record and manage data.
  • Communicate results, observations, and/or issues related to lab equipment, materials, and experiments to supervisors
  • Ability to lift lab equipment (Approx. 25lbs).
