Your Role and Responsibilities
In this role, you’ll work in our IBM Client Innovation Center (CIC), where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world. These centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.
As an Entry Level Associate ERP Consultant at IBM, your analytical and technical skills will directly impact the quality of the applications we create. In your role, you will be responsible for:
- Assist clients in selection, implementation, and production support of application packaged solutions.
- Use consulting skills, business knowledge, and packaged solution expertise to effectively integrate packaged technology into the clients’ business environment in order to achieve client expected business results.
- Become an expert in softwares for existing and new applications such as SAP, Oracle, Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, Workday, or SharePoint solution suite and be well versed to speak with clients and make strategic recommendations.
You must live in, or be willing to relocate to Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
Some travel is expected, and all candidates must be willing and able to travel to meet our client needs across the US. Travel is typically related to knowledge transfer and training at the client site. You are expected to travel up to 50% of the time.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Basic understanding of ERP package products such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Workday SalesForce and/or SharePoint
- Ability to thrive in an ever changing, technology-based consulting environment
- Ability to translate business solutions into technical requirements
- Openness to assist clients in the design, business architect, process development, functional implementation, and support of applications.
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
- Exposure to SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Salesforce, Workday and/or SharePoint (configurations, implementations, etc.)
- Familiarity with Enterprise Applications (EA) Implementation Methodology, Development Methodologies and Implementation Tools
- Advanced Microsoft Office Skills
