- If selected at the GS-11 level, duties will be performed in a developmental capacity:
- Serves as a senior member or coordinator of a program support team responsible for business systems requirements assessment, analysis, planning, development, implementation, etc. and maintenance of an assigned area in DLA Information Operations J62H.Performs "level of effort" assessment/impact analysis in concert with customers, coworkers, and system users for fixes, enhancements and other changes based on high level business requirements.
- Evaluates and analyzes the customer's business system requirements for feasibility, cost-effectiveness, integrity, completeness, compliance, compatibility and testability.
- Assists in the evaluation, selection and integration of commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) and/or Government-off-the-shelf (GOTS) solutions.
- Identifies and defines system interface requirements with other ancillary automated information systems (AIS) that support DLA's logistics business.
- Oversees implementation and maintenance of system software modifications. Participates in release management, software transition, and deployment activities.
- Tests and validates that all software modifications meet system specifications and that they fulfill the approved business system requirements. Coordinates as necessary to develop and execute a comprehensive test program.
- Develops functional designs, operational concepts; detailed inputs/outputs, system interrelationships, and processing logic.
- Conducts and/or participates in the research and investigation of technological developments that have the potential to improve the design, modification, testing, installation, implementation, and support of new or existing applications software.
