The Operational Risk Group at Point72 is responsible for identification, monitoring, and reporting of operational risk across the Firm. We also manage business continuity, third-party risks, liability insurance, and recently, the coordination of our return to office efforts throughout the pandemic.
About the Operational Risk, Business Continuity Planning & Insurance Internship
If you are interested in pursuing a career in Enterprise Risk, the 10-week Operational Risk – Business Continuity Planning and Insurance internship at Point72 provides individuals an opportunity to gain exposure and knowledge to:
- Work closely with a small and collaborative team to gain a foundational understanding of Operational Risk within a global company
- Coordinate, document, and develop deliverables and meeting materials for Business Impact Assessments and insurance initiatives while working in conjunction with Technology and business units
- Support Firm-wide event management and trading recovery tests including coordination with business units to facilitate communication, develop postmortem analysis, and partner on risks
- Assist with organizing, evaluating, and preparing pre and post renewal materials and documents.
- Interface with key stakeholders to ensure training and routine testing through tabletop drills
- Review all of Business Continuity playbooks to ensure accuracy across all variations and business owner certification
- Support team with recording, documenting, and reporting incidents for claims processing

- Demonstrated academic success as reflected in a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.3/4.0
