AmeriCorps Tutor
Job Description:
Federal Way Public Schools (FWPS) AmeriCorps members support middle and high school students in AVID elective classrooms and after-school homework clubs. AVID is designed to help historically underrepresented students gain access to college and acquire college readiness skills. This is an entry-level position that provides training and development that equips our FWPS AmeriCorps members with best practices in the field of education.
Member Duties:
- Tutoring middle and high school scholars
- Support AVID and teachers
- Host after-school homework club

Qualifications:
- At least 17 or older
- Must have high school diploma or GED
- US citizen or Legal resident
- A passion to serve
