Budget Manager - College of Arts and Sciences

Budget Manager - College of Arts and Sciences

|This person will work closely with the College of Arts and Sciences Dean in the preparation and development of the college’s annual operating budget with academic affairs following budget guidelines and procedures. Maintains the college’s day-to-day operational budget. This responsibility includes budget analysis, reviewing position coding, benefit, and operating line budgets, determining availability of funds, determining funding discrepancies and assuring compliance with budget policies for the Dean’s office and the college’s academic departments and programs. Responsible for development, maintenance, analysis, and reporting from various sources. Works closely with the Business Manager and the Grants Manager to accomplish common goals. Provides training in budget management and the preparation of budget transfers to college constituents. Responsible for assembling the appropriate budget request documents. Represents the college by participating in university initiatives for development and implementation of systems, task forces, and committees.
 
Work Schedule:               M-F, 8a-5p
Salary Information:            $68,200 - $88,000/year
 
Required Education and Experience:    
A bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field, equivalency considered, Five (5) years’ experience in positions with increasing responsibility for independent decision making. Demonstrated experience with process change implementation.
