Ceramics Instructors for Teens GR 7-12

The New Art Center is a non-profit, community art education space which offers exceptional opportunities to make, exhibit, view, think about and talk about art. We envision the New Art Center as a highly visible, bold, anti-racist, inclusive leader in art education and community building that serves the greater Boston community with programs and opportunities both in our facility and beyond our walls.

New Art Center seeks a talented, creative art instructor to teach an in-person wheel throwing and handbuilding ceramics classes to teens on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday afternoons.

Applicants should have a knowledge of ceramics and clay studio processes, with an enthusiastic teaching style that encourages both skill building and creativity. Ability to teach in other areas (drawing, painting, or sculpture) is a plus.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts or equivalent; excellent clay handbuilding and wheel skills; ceramics teaching experience; classroom management skills.
