Position Overview:
Data Integration Analyst will extract, transform, normalize and integrate medical and biological science data with Rajant’s backend architecture. Heterogeneous data sources will be integrated from disparate sources such as NCBI, USCS Genome Browser, PubMed articles, etc, transformed into a standardized format, and combined with statistical and AI inferences from Rajant’s Data Science Division.
 
The analyst will regularly interact with RHI’s medical team and Rajant’s data architecture team to ensure biologically relevant data integration techniques and thus will need good communication skills, a collaborative view, and willingness to learn about multiple domains for integration into a cohesive data warehouse. All extracted data will require quality control and transformation prior to integration.


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Fluency in programming skills such as Matlab, SQL, Python, C, C++, Java, and/or R.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with Machine learning or data engineering
  • Able to work in teams and collaborate with others to solve challenging problems
  • Knowledge in vector algebra and statistical modeling is preferred.
  • Exposure to open-source, data science/machine learning libraries/big data platforms (XGBoost, Spark, Hadoop).
 
 
Education: Pursuing a Bachelor degree in computer science, bioinformatics, biomedical engineering, applied mathematics or related computational fields.
