Public Health Nurse 2/3 (PCN 06-1502)
Public Health Nurse 2 is the journey level of the series and applies generalized knowledge of public health nursing competencies, principles, and procedures. The Public Health Nurse 2 independently provides a broad range of services to individual, families, communities, and systems primarily works in a Public Health Center and may occasionally travel (two trips a month) to outlying areas or communities to perform itinerant nursing services responsibility.
Under the general direction of the Public Health Nurse (PHN) 4 Nurse Manager, the Public Health Nurse 3 is responsible for the delivery of the full range of public health nursing services to villages using an individual, community, and systems approach.
