Research Associate I - Immunofluorescence
The role
The immunofluorescence (IF) group serves as a centralized resource for the testing, analysis, optimization, and support of antibody performance in fluorescence imaging assays. We are an enthusiastic team of imaging scientists seeking a passionate, process-minded individual to help realize aggressive product release goals.

You'll have the opportunity to....
- Perform fluorescence imaging experiments, analyze data, and communicate results to senior staff via presentation and written reports
- Operate high-resolution microscopes, high-throughput imaging equipment, and laboratory robotics
- Collaborate with team members to identify and refine cellular/tissue models that enable definitive characterization of antibody performance
- Complete scientific and technical tasks on aggressive timelines, adapt to changing priorities, and manage complex and varied wet lab assignments
- Research targets and synthesize primary literature to support or refute immunostaining results
- Identify, analyze, and troubleshoot technical issues relating to antibody development and new lot quality assurance/quality control
- Contribute to strategic projects that support and promote the scientific culture and values of CST
- Proactively identify, evaluate, and champion new technologies and workflow solutions that will improve quality, efficiency, and/or scalability
- Engage in personal and professional development activities to ensure currency of own approaches and techniques
Who you are and what you bring to the team....
- You possess a Bachelor’s degree in a Life Sciences focus area
- You are proficient with MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Google Docs, and related applications
- You possess a natural curiosity and have excellent organizational skills
- You take initiative to complete your work in a detail-oriented manner
- You have enthusiasm for and motivation to collaborate, and strong interpersonal skills
- You pride yourself on being a strong communicator with excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
- You thrive in a team environment, while having a proven track record of completing projects independently when provided with high-level direction
- Ideally, you have:
- Previous experience with confocal microscopy, spectral imaging, immunofluorescence, immunohistochemistry, and/or HTS/HCS techniques
- One year of relevant lab experience performing antibody-based research
