To meet students where they are, we offer both virtual and in-person internship opportunities for the Spring 2023 semester, and all internships will be part-time (approximately 16-24 hours per week). Because we know it can be challenging to balance coursework and internship commitments, we are now offering interns paid time off for mental health, school exams, and personal holidays. 

Job Description
Spring 2023 Internship Program: 
  • Applications Close: October 7, 2022 at 11:59pm ET. Pro Tip: Submit your application as soon as possible – don't delay! 
  • Program Dates: January 17 – April 21, 2023 
  • Time Commitment: 16-24 hours per week. Exact schedule to be determined based on business need. We will do our best to accommodate course schedules.

Areas of placement may include, but are not limited to: 
Peacock Streaming Video Operations: This group works within the Peacock Digital Network Operations Center (DNOC). The intern acts as a team member providing monitoring, control, support, and escalation for NBCUniversal’s delivery of digital video content. The intern will be assisting our operators and leaders by ensuring timely and reliable delivery of NBCU live and VOD content to the NBC OTT Platforms. They will provide real-time monitoring and support for the delivery of NBCU content. Monitoring takes place through a combination of “eyes on glass” and a host of data aggregation tools within the Digital NOC. Responsibilities include investigating issues that arise within distribution workflows and escalating to L2 support, engineering, or client contacts as appropriate to drive resolution. The intern will get to create and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external distribution partners.

Qualifications
Basic Requirements: 
  • Must be actively enrolled in a degree-granting program at an accredited institution during the length of the program. 
  • Actively seeking a degree in Business Management, Data Analytics, IT or related field. 
  • Current class standing of sophomore or above (30 credits). 
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship by NBCUniversal. 
  • Must be willing to work from Stamford, CT. 

Desired Characteristics: 
  • Students with class standing of junior or above preferred. 
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above. 
  • Experience in analyzing data. 
  • Experience in Microsoft Office Suite. 

Additional Requirements: 
  • Must submit an attestation disclosing your COVID-19 vaccination status and, if partially or fully vaccinated, submitting your vaccination record no later than 7 days following commencement of employment.
