Role Description: 
You will be putting your skills to work on authentic community projects and tasks for the DEC Network Community Partners, Community Membership Program and Mentorship Program. You will have the opportunity to work with a dynamic team of skilled professionals dedicated to driving economic impact through entrepreneurship. This position will report directly to the Manager of Events and Programming, Kendall Castillo, (details above) managing our day-to-day community projects/programs. This internship also offers the opportunity to develop skills in Communications, Public Relations, Event Planning, and Content Creation if desired.

Essential tasks:
  • Assist with recruiting new community partners, members, mentors and mentees
  • Assist with working with our community partners on co-hosting, collaborating and marketing events 
  • Assist with promotion of community partners and events 
  • Assist with creating content (such as workshops, networking opportunities, etc) for community members 
  • Assist with connecting and/or matching mentors to mentees 
  • Assist with stewardship of community partners, members, mentors and mentees
  • Additional tasks as needed (such as digital content creation, marketing, etc.)

This is not a paid position. We require the student to receive a three hour course credit for fulfilling the internship.
