2023 Strategy & Planning Leadership Program

Product Strategy & Planning (S&P) is the organization responsible for leading the creation and approval of global advanced product strategy and program planning. 
Specifically, this includes: 
  • Utilizing human centered design to develop global product strategies 

  • Applying these strategies to build actionable product plans that maximize profitability 

  • Leading cross-functional teams to execute program direction 
A career in S&P leverages expertise in both engineering and business, providing opportunities to expand competencies in both functional areas from day one. These complementary skills enable S&P professionals to effectively lead cross-functional teams – including engineering, marketing, finance, technology, and manufacturing specialists – and to deliver critical projects that improve profitability.

As part of our Strategy & Planning Leadership Program (SPLP), you’ll discover unmatched opportunities to turn your higher education into real-world experience with a company that is redefining human mobility. Designed for those who have already completed a summer internship at Ford, this additional experience will provide you with an even stronger foundation for a future career at Ford. 
 
The Strategy & Planning Leadership Program (SPLP) is a 36-month / 3-Year rotational experience consisting of 4 assignments that will build a Strategy skill set preparing the individual for their first off-program assignment in Strategy & Planning.

  • Product Strategy 

  • Product Planning 

  • Cross-Vehicle Planning (e.g. Technology, Connectivity) 

  • Electrification & AV Strategy 
 Interface Organizations 
  • Global Data Analytics 

  • Corporate Strategy 

  • Marketing Sales & Service 

  • Program Management 

  • Global Advanced Product Marketing  

  • Human Centered Design  

  • Finance 
 Note: Off-program placement will be within Strategy & Planning.

Minimum Requirements for the Strategy & Planning Leadership Program (SPLP): 
  • Expected completion of MBA by August 2023 

  • Professional work experience prior to completion of graduate school (3-5 years preferred)
