Health Services Specialist
The Health Service Specialist is under the direct supervision of the Deputy Superintendent or Superintendent's Designee. The Health Service Specialist is responsible for increasing outreach capacities to schools needing assistance with health-related issues such as vision and dental screening, instruction or expanding the scope of safe in-person instruction. The Health Service Specialist is also responsible to ensure training is in place for school staff on health and safety mitigation strategies. This position serves as liaison between local health jurisdiction and community organizations to address barriers specific to the most at-risk students at schools and districts.
This position is funded by the Safe Schools for All grant allocate to County Offices of Education through a partnership between the California Department of Education (CDE) and the California Department of Public Health (CDPH).
$57,036 - $75,078 per year plus benefits, advance degree stipends
