U220094 - Academic Scholar - Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor, Division of Surgical Oncology - Surgery

The Department of Surgery, Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, is looking for a Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor to join our faculty. The Department of Surgery is composed of dynamic clinical and basic science faculty with diverse experience and clinical skills that help cultivate today’s residents into future surgery leaders. We pride ourselves on ensuring excellence in the department’s three mission areas: patient care, research, and education.
Our faculty utilizes state-of-the-art laboratories to pioneer approaches and to conduct innovative research; which is then translated into clinical practice. The Department of Surgery is dedicated to providing high quality surgical education through comprehensive clinical exposure, research at the forefront of medicine, and mentoring by physicians and scientists devoted to their craft.
The incumbent will join a growing academic breast surgical oncology practice. Academic breast surgical oncologists with interest in both benign and malignant breast disease are encouraged to apply. Candidates must be board certified/eligible in general surgery, have completed a surgical oncology fellowship or breast surgical oncology fellowship, and able to obtain a New York medical license. There will be expectations of a commitment to clinical and academic productivity, teaching medical students and residents, program development and research activity.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • MD
  • Board Certified or Eligible in Surgery
  • Board eligible or certified in Surgical Oncology
