Research Scientist--Chemist
At Group K Diagnostics (GKD), we are aiming to change the diagnostic process for both patients and caregivers by increasing accessibility to what we believe to be one of the most important assessments of human health – the blood test.
We are a team of dedicated innovators who are focused on bringing the best point of care test to market, and continually iterating new technologies to continue to stay at the forefront of testing.
GDK is looking to hire a Scientist on a full time basis that will contribute to product development functions.
Salary $55,000-$70,000
Job Responsibilities
- Develop, design and test assays for paper based microfluidics IVD devices.
- Participate in FDA testing for novel assays on GKD's devices
- Conduct research benchwork in a regulated research lab.
- Attend research meetings and report the findings
- Support all research-related tasks / activities
- No direct reports
Required Qualifications and skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, preferably specialized in Analytical or Organic Chemistry
- 1-2 years experience working in chemistry research in academia or industry
- Experience using MS office, STATA and scientific data bases such as Google Scholar.
- Should be experienced and comfortable working with body fluids
- Self starter and should have strong research background
- Organized with strong communication skills
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously in a small, fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualification
- Experience in handling ERP system and chemical purchase
- Experience in assay development
- Experience in Good Laboratory Practice (GLP)
