Web3/NFT Summer Intern

VanEck’s Summer Intern Program includes exposure across the firm through educational, mentorship, and networking events. As an Intern, you will also be exposed to the firm’s senior management, gain an understanding of the financial services industry and learn critical business skills. Our internship program will build more than just your resume — it will challenge your knowledge, build your network and drive your career path. Our program spans 10 weeks and runs from June 5 – August 11.
The Web3 Business unit is looking for applicants that have a passion for digital assets including NFTs (Non-Fungible Tokens), have experience in navigating secondary market places such as Opensea, use of communications platforms such as Discord & Twitter, and have some experience in minting and/or trading NFTs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Includes the following, other duties may be assigned as needed:
- Alpha Research – Alpha within the NFT space is defined as “purposeful Leaks of information” provided by the respective projects and team. It is NOT Insider information, but instead is public information that engaged community members gather and make purchasing decisions on. Candidates would be provided the projects that they are expected to follow and will listen to AMAs (Ask Me Anything) calls, Twitter spaces, and consume written content. They will then share relevant “Alpha” their Manager; package Alpha research and other findings at least weekly
- Introduce new NFT projects to Manager with finding on team, roadmap, capitalization structure and other useful data points.
- Gain introductions to participate in various Alpha groups
- Listen to and provide notes on specific Podcasts, and webinars related to new NFT projects, disruptive solutions, etc.
Qualifications
- Must have - Intermediate to advanced experience in Buying and Selling NFTs
- Must have - Strong knowledge of Ethereum blockchain, knowledge of Solana and others in addition to Ethereum are a plus.
- Experience with writing smart contract is a plus!
- Loves spreadsheets and Analysis
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
- A working knowledge of Internet, PowerPoint, MS Word and Excel.
- Roll up your sleeve work ethic.
- Professional demeanor.
Education and/or Experience
- Currently entering junior level (3rd year) or beyond within a 4 year college program.
- Some experience within a corporate environment is helpful but not required.

Compensation:
- The maximum hourly rate for this position is $25 an hour.
