Stadium Operations and Ticket Sales Internship
The Badlands Big Sticks was established in 2018 and are apart the Independence Baseball League. This internship will run from mid-May through mid-August. The Big Sticks will host 30 home games with an average of 700 fans attending per game. Attendance will be required at all home games and special events, including team and community events. The schedule will be challenging, working up to 80+ hours a week during homestands.
All interns will receive a $1,000 stipend and have housing provided. Preference will be given to applicants that are receiving college credit.
In addition to position responsibilities, all interns will be required to help out in all areas of team operations as needed including but not limited to taking out trash, cleaning, and wearing the mascot costume at events.
Position Requirements
- Supervise and delegate tasks during games.
- Assists in leading other employee in setting up the stadium prior to the gates opening according to the task list
- Assist in leading other interns and staff in postgame cleanup of the stadium according to the task list
- Monitor inventory of kiosks, keeping items stocked properly.
- Prepare and clean up home and away dugouts, to include filling up coolers and providing cups
- Write line-up/standing on board, including erasing at the end of each night
- Create roster handouts for each series
- Oversight of single game ticket sales, season ticket sales, group ticket sales, and ticket packages.
- Reach out to VIP season ticket and season ticket holders for the purpose of reselling unused tickets
- Other duties as assigned
