Bilingual Assistant Social Worker- Manhattan Crisis Intervention

About the Position:
YAI has an opening for a full-time Assistant Social Worker position within our HQ- Manhattan 42st Location, This position at YAI provides the opportunity to gain exposure and experience working within Manhattan Crisis Intervention Team and other professionals at YAI.

Key responsibilities: 
− Provide intake/home visit to assess service needs. 
- Treats PWS with disabilities related to the areas identified in intake, such as, care coordination and other needed services. 
- Participates in interdisciplinary care planning for people we support and their families. 
- Participate in utilization/quality assurance reviews.
- Provide presentation on YAI Crisis Intervention within and outside of agency. 
- Provide needed resources to the PWS and caregiver.
- Perform responsibilities as they currently exist or may change in meeting the needs of the department. 

Education and Experience: 
- BSW/BA/BS Degree in Psychology or Human Services 
- Experience with IDD population preferred. 
- Willing to take initiative
- Exceptional interpersonal, problem solving and communication skills 
- Highly flexible personality type 
- Proficient in Electronic Health Record. 
- Excellent writing skills
- Exceptional organization skills
- Highly flexible to varied work schedule (may need to work late hours)
