2023 Intern - Finance Data Scientist

The Challenge

In Adobe finance, we strive to introduce the finance of the future! We seek a data science intern to join the Digital Media finance team to refine and implement ground-breaking, predictive techniques for forecasting revenue and expense. This role is fitting for an individual who enjoys working with, cleaning and manipulating large datasets, and can derive insights using statistical and machine learning models. This position maintains lots of exposure to cross functional organizations and access to senior management.

What you'll do

Our 2023 intern will have the opportunity to showcase their main internship project to their fellow cohort and senior leaders. In addition to impressing judges with their work, our intern will participate in the following activities:

  • Drive data science modeling initiatives for forecasting and analysis
  • Automate, enhance, and maintain analytic applications and data structures used for modeling and forecasting
  • Partner with finance, accounting, BU partners, and leadership to develop and enhance existing process
  • Present findings to leadership and maintain dashboards tracking key indicators
  • Demonstrate strong intellectual curiosity towards enhancing current methodologies and processes
  • Be a change agent, ensuring users adopt new and innovative technologies

What you need to succeed

  • Pursuing a degree in Computers Science, Statistics, Data Science, Information Systems, or a similar field with a 2024 expected graduation
  • Ability to pull and process data in SQL
  • Strong capability in Python or R proven in coursework, work experience or portfolio projects
  • Strong understanding of statistical concepts central to time-series analysis and sequential prediction including regression, probability, and exponential smoothing
  • Experience in ML/AI tools such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or MXNet is a plus
  • Big data processing proficiency in PySpark and Hadoop is a plus
  • Data visualization experience in Tableau, Power BI, or Looker
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, including mastery of M/DAX is a plus
  • Successful candidate will be assertive, motivated and have excellent communication skills; strong problem solving and analytical / critical thinking skills; and ability to prioritize and apply sound judgment
