What You’ll Do
As a Proposal Specialist – Business Development, you will manage RFP responses for new business opportunities, partnering with Sales, product teams and various other subject matter experts (SMEs) to ensure the accuracy of information. You will leverage your knowledge of the firm and our products to effectively marshal the firm’s resources, customize responses and write new content. 
 
Duties include but are not limited to the following:
  • Lead and manage proposals, including developing project plans and timelines to distribute to all relevant internal partners
  • Determine product suitability, positioning points, key strategies and themes customized for each proposal submission
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders in product, investment management, marketing, sales and other key business units to create compelling, product specific and industry-related content to be delivered in proposals for new business
  • Edit existing content and write new responses on both a regular and ad-hoc basis
  • Create project plans and timelines to distribute to all relevant internal partners
  • Organize “launch meetings” when deemed necessary by management to ensure all internal partners are on the same page for a given RFP opportunity
 
The Expertise We’re Looking For
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Communications, Marketing, English or related experience in lieu of degree required
  • Minimum 2 years of RFP/DDQ experience or relevant investment management experience required; Proposal experience in investment management industry strongly preferred
  • Writing experience to include crafting and developing compelling written responses required
  • Experience managing large projects simultaneously ensuring efficient utilization of resources required
  • Analytical skills including data manipulation required
  • Understanding of investment management industry including key terminology, market trends, regulatory considerations, etc. required; In-depth, working knowledge of investment management industry preferred
