Licensed Therapist

POSITION: Licensed Therapist (LCPC/LCSW/LMFT required)  
STATUS: Full-time 
CLASSIFICATION: Exempt
REPORTS TO: Acting Executive Director 
MINIMUM PAY RATE: $60,000
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Licensed Therapist will provide intensive clinical therapeutic services to children, adolescents, and adults in multiple settings including individual, couples, family and group. This position will assess, diagnose and treat a variety of mental health conditions through evidence-based and clinically-appropriate techniques.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assess clients’ mental conditions interview, case history, psychological tests and/or observational techniques; evaluate data to identify causes of problems and develop individualized treatment plan
  • Provide counseling, therapy, and/or psychotherapy to children, adolescents, and adults in a one-on-one and group setting
  • Provide casework management of a specialized caseload; perform research and case assessments
  • Provide therapeutic interventions and/or serve as an advocate to coordinate required services for patients in crisis situations 
  • Consult with other legal and treatment agencies and individuals in relation to patient records, rights and responsibilities 
  • Collaborate with other therapists and related professional and paraprofessional staff in the performance of therapeutic and/or casework; refer patients to appropriate service agencies as necessary in order to fulfill the clients’ needs
  • Coordinate and lead the review of clinical issues and program policies and procedures
  • Maintain confidential, accurate and timely mental health records in regard to clients including intakes, evaluations, treatment plans, progress, recommendations, discharge summaries, and other information 
  • Gather information about local mental health  needs and resources to be used in conjunctions with therapy
  • Participate collaboratively in community activities, networking, and outreach events
  • Participate actively in opportunities for continuous professional development
  • Perform other duties as assigned or needed 
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, or directly related field
  • Meet all necessary state licensure requirements and abide by all laws, regulations, and code of ethics that are binding upon or applicable to the services performed 
  • Possess 2+ years of clinical experience
  • Proficient with supervision, service delivery, and case management fundamentals 
  • Fluent in reading, writing and speaking in Spanish
  • High degree of cultural sensitivity and ability to work effectively with families from diverse racial, socio-economic, ethnic and educational backgrounds 
  • Ability to engage, assess, motivate, and support participants using advocacy and coaching skills that are compassionate, strengths-based, and non-judgmental
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
 
 
WORK SCHEDULE:
Monday–Friday; 9am–5pm
Evenings and weekends as needed
