F220215 - Assistant or Associate Professor of Rhetoric and Composition (tenure-track) - English

Position Summary:
The Department of English at the University at Buffalo, SUNY seeks a tenure-track assistant or associate professor of Rhetoric and Composition. Potential areas of research specialization include (but are not limited to) Latinx rhetorics, Black rhetorics, Indigenous rhetorics, queer/trans rhetorics, disability rhetorics, rhetoric of health and medicine, multilingual/translingual writing, community/public writing, writing across the curriculum, writing program administration, and/or writing in the disciplines. The successful candidate will be prepared to contribute to the administration of the department’s writing program, which oversees both first-year writing and a range of required upper-level undergraduate writing courses.
The standard duties for academic-year (10-month) faculty include teaching two courses per semester (including undergraduate courses and graduate seminars, with course releases available for administrative work), advising and mentoring graduate students, maintaining an active research program, and providing service to the department and university.
