F220218 - Assistant/Associate/Professor – Open Rank - Psychiatry

Position Summary:
The Department of Psychiatry at the University at Buffalo, Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences (JSMBS), is recruiting a faculty member to participate as an investigator in our expanding clinical trials activities. We currently have sponsored clinical trials in most psychiatric disorders, Alzheimer’s disease, novel clinical interventions, concussion, and psychiatric disorders complicating chronic respiratory illnesses. We collaborate with investigators in neurology, orthopedics, pediatrics and neurosurgery. As our clinical trials portfolio grows, we are looking for established investigators to assume a leadership role in this effort, along with our experienced and effective staff.

Key accountabilities and responsibilities:
• Assume an active role in obtaining, leading and recruiting for clinical trials.
• Engage in clinical care, teaching of students, residents and fellows, and participate in academic activities of the department.
• Collaborate with other clinical investigators in the Department of Psychiatry and the JSMBS.
• Ensure that studies comply with all appropriate policies and guidelines

Minimum Qualifications: 
MD/DO, or equivalent degree
Record of successfully completing multi-center clinical trials

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with investigator-initiated trials and similar academic accomplishments

FTE: 1.00
