Financial Development Assistant

DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Financial Development Assistant is responsible for supporting the Development Office in relation to all administrative aspects of the YMCA of the North Shore's philanthropic efforts. As a member of the Development team, the Financial Development Assistant provides necessary and integral support to all of the Y's development campaigns and initiatives.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Partner with the Chief Development Officer to formalize best practices and systems to ensure consistency in the donor database.
• Ensure the donor database is accurate and contains pertinent information for prospecting by establishing clean data entry procedures, ongoing collection of new data and purging of old data.
• Act as a liaison between the Y and donors ensuring that donors are billed, acknowledged and communicated with in ways that build long term relationships. This includes, but is not limited to, receipting payments, invoicing, managing personal thank you systems.
• Assist with the development of the annual giving plan and implement all strategies as assigned. This includes, but is not limited to data reports for stewardship, cultivation, and solicitation strategies and communications.
• Act as a professional member of the staff team by offering input and insight as well as performing all other assignments and responsibilities deemed necessary by the Chief Development Officer.
