Corporate Spend Analyst

Allied Universal® is hiring a Corporate Spend Analyst. The Spend Analyst is a core member of the Corporate Strategy team and will assist in executing Profit and Loss (P&L)/earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) improvement initiatives. Activities will include executing analysis, developing proposed action items, and leading initiatives that directly or indirectly help in improving the overall 3rd party spending of the organization. Initiatives identified could be conceptualized and developed by the Strategy & Operations team or Corporate functions. In addition to these initiatives, the analyst is also expected to lead and support execution of synergy actions originating from various Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) activities (especially in the non-headcount areas). Specific spend category of focus will be fleet/vehicles (~8000 vehicles) utilized by Allied Universal to provide private security services and security systems integration. Pay: $55,000 - $60,000 per year
 
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Conduct advanced analytics using Excel, SQL, and other software as needed; develop action items based on results
  • Own assigned workflows and day-to-day operations for fleet vehicles (operational activities may include generating and submitting fleet reports to Finance & Accounting teams, coordinating transactions with the Field operations teams, etc.)
  • Develop reports and output using PowerPoint
  • Lead execution of the fleet spend reduction initiatives developed by the Corporate Strategy and Operations team
  • Provide support to the Corporate Strategy team across a variety of initiatives and as needed, coordinate directly with field personnel
  • This job will require flexibility given the broad purview of the Strategy team; priorities of the Strategy & Operations Analyst will shift as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS: 
  • Associate’s degree in Business, Finance, or Engineering
  • Professional or educational experience in financial analysis
  • Advanced skills in Excel and at least one of the following BI tools: Power BI, DOMO, Tableau
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral)
  • Ability to successfully interact at all levels of the organization, including clients
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative, successfully handle and prioritize multiple competing assignments and effectively manage deadlines
  • Able to use good independent judgment and discretion with guarded propriety information (e.g., correspondence, discussion, materials)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Engineering
  • Working knowledge of SQL, DOMO, Tableau, Power BI, or any other analytics tool
  • Prior experience in corporate spend analyst role
  • Fleet-related experience (e.g., procurement, management)
