Organized Crime & Corruption Analyst

Overview


We are looking for an Analyst who is interested in joining our Organized Crime and Corruption team in support of our counter-corruption projects around the world. Our team is pioneering new approaches using emerging technologies and innovative analytical methodologies to identify grand corruption and the activities of organized crime groups, all of which pose threats to international security.
As an Analyst, you will play an integral role in our success by conducting complex research that drives real-world impact. You will help steer our projects, develop new ones, and use sophisticated emerging technologies on a daily basis. What You’ll Do:


•  Learn and apply advanced investigative methods, such as corporate records analysis and asset tracing, to identify criminal actors 
•  Leverage C4ADS tools and investigative resources to advance our team’s analytic edge, expand our data holdings, and broaden our partner network
•  Produce a range of analytical products from public reports to private dossiers for a wide audience, including law enforcement, regulatory agencies, and multinational organizations
•  Develop the relevant skillsets to support the vast array of projects housed under the Organized Crime and Corruption team
•  Travel around the world to meet with partners and collaborate
•  Represent C4ADS by briefing analysis externally, including to senior decision-makers and at public events
•  Regularly use advanced technologies like Palantir to support research and analysis

•  Prior overseas work experience and/or relevant research using non-English sources to conduct data analysis or investigations
•  An aptitude for picking up new skills quickly and an eagerness to do so
•  Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to team success
•  An undergraduate degree in a related field, such as international relations, computer science, or criminology
•  Professional-level ability in a second language 
•  A willingness to travel at short notice, including to high-risk environments
•  Comfort with ambiguity, experimentation, and challenging workflows in support of an important mission


Bonus Points For:


•  Demonstrated expertise related to organized crime, corruption, national security, and analytic writing
•  Fluency in an additional language
•  Experience with data science and/or machine learning
•  Master’s degree in a related field
