THE PROGRAM

The Knowledge Management Internship Program is an exciting 10-week paid program designed to give current graduate students who identify as Black, Hispanic/Latinx or Indigenous (Native American, Alaska Native, Inuit, Métis and First Nations), the opportunity to strengthen their business and leadership skill set while gaining exposure to Knowledge Management at one of the world’s top tier strategy consulting firms. The program is open to all graduate degrees, from any US college.

The program will commence in early June 2023 and will be in-person in our Chicago, Dallas and Boston offices.

WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

You’ll join the Product, Practice and Knowledge (PPK) department as part of the Knowledge Management team, broadening your skill set and building your knowledge across one of our industry or capability practice areas. Over the past two decades, we have formalized our industry and capability areas, internally known as “Practices”, integral to how we win and deliver results to our clients. PPK is a business unit of Bain and the team’s primary role is to drive growth in an industry or capability and to help Bain ‘scale results’ by accelerating the development, deployment, commercialization, and delivery of world-class knowledge, expertise, and products.

Our Knowledge Management team is the catalyst to harnessing the knowledge and collective experience from our client facing consulting teams. They help to co-create, shape and innovate Bain’s perspectives and products as well as capture and share knowledge, insights and experience making it possible for us to deliver extraordinary results for our clients.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

In 10 exciting weeks you’ll be in the thick of it: working alongside your practice team to help support consultants tackling complex client questions. Every day is different but with the support of your practice team a sample of the things you can expect to accomplish are:

  • Learn how the PPK team support Bain’s consultants to serve client work
  • Provide value-added front-line support to case teams by sharing curated “best of” Bain content, experience and perspectives to help case teams better serve our client
  • Work on discrete industry or capability related content projects and collaborate with knowledge team members to understand key insights from client work and solicit the most relevant content from case teams to enhance Bain’s intellectual property and knowledge base
  • Join interactive training sessions that will help you to build critical business and leadership skills
  • Receive exceptional training, coaching and mentoring from the PPK and broader Bain teams
  • Attend social and networking events, to have fun and get to know other program participants and our colleagues

ABOUT YOU

  • A robust analytical skill set and intellectually curious
  • Deadline driven, organized and able to multi-task
  • Strong verbal, written and presentation skills
  • Can self-motivate and work autonomously, while appreciating guided coaching and collaborative teaming
