Sales and Operations Intern


About the Organization:
EVmatch (www.evmatch.com) is an early-stage startup that’s revolutionizing electric vehicle (EV) charging through a peer-to-peer charging network. EVmatch’s app-based service allows individuals, businesses, and apartment property managers to rent out their private charging stations and supports widespread EV adoption. EVmatch currently supports residential charging hosts and commercial charging hosts with integrated Enel X electric vehicle supply equipment (EVSE). Through its growing community-based charging network, EVmatch is on a mission to accelerate EV adoption by making charging easy, reliable, and accessible to all.

Internship Description:
Selected intern will work closely with EVmatch’s Sales Operations & Customer Experience Specialist to learn about the rapidly evolving electric vehicle charging market and promote the service through a variety of channels. This internship provides an opportunity to gain entrepreneurial skills and learn key components involved in growing an early-stage company, including sales/customer acquisition strategy and customer engagement/support. Intern will conduct work with the Sales Operations & Customer Experience Specialist to engage current and prospective customers and partners, provide sales operations support, and support projects related to customer experience and sales.

Essential duties and responsibilities:
- Sales, outreach, and customer support
- Writing, organizing, and delivering sales documents such as revenue projections, service agreements, and rebate documents
- Communicating with current and prospective customers about EVmatch services and products
- Conducting customer service and other projects to support business growth
- Contribute to EVmatch’s social media presence and blog
- Coordinate with customers and partners to conduct site analysis
- Organize and manipulate customer data
- Qualify sales leads and conduct outreach

Intern Qualifications:
Required Skills:

- High school diploma
- Some college education (4-year degree not required)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, startup environment
- Strong customer service skills
- Creativity and strong problem-solving skills
- Experience with social media platforms like Instagram and Linkedin
- Computer and software skills: MS Office, Google Suite, Email, and Excel

Desired Skills:
- Knowledge of clean energy and electric vehicle technology
- Experience using social media platforms
- Experience using project management tools like Trello

Time Commitment: 15-20 hours / week
