Vice President, Finance

Passion. Purpose. Impact. CJP is one of Boston's oldest and most respected philanthropic organizations and we are currently seeking a Vice President, Finance.
 
The Vice President, Finance will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer and be a member of the Finance Leadership Team. Primary responsibilities include oversight of CJP’s day to day financial and accounting operations as well as customer service and recordkeeping of CJP’s philanthropic asset management activities.
 
The successful candidate will possess outstanding accounting acumen, management, communication (verbal and written), and collaborative skills with the ability to apply these skills within a complex and fast paced organization.
 
As a member of the Finance Leadership Team, the Associate Vice President, Finance will partner with colleagues in the design, implementation, and management of various process improvement and transformative initiatives, focused on streamlining workload and processes that will improve the Finance department’s ability to meet the growing needs and demands of CJP.
 
Primary Responsibilities:
 
·        Manage, coach, and develop the Operational and Philanthropic Finance teams for optimal performance.
·        Serve as a member of the Finance Leadership Team. Collaborate with colleagues across the department to ensure CJP’s key business operations, internal controls, and accounting systems are executed correctly and in compliance with GAAP, state and federal guidelines and reporting requirements, and not‐for‐profit best practices. Support current activities, and proactively prepare for future growth of the organization.
·        Provide oversight for CJP’s financial operations including, accounts payable, accounts receivable, corporate purchasing cards, prepaid assets, accrued liabilities, cash management, domestic and foreign grants, assist with audits, etc.

 

Education:


·        BA/BS Accounting
·        CPA/MBA or advanced degree required
 
Budgeted Salary Range:  $174,000 – 226,000
 
Work Schedule: CJP staff work a hybrid work schedule where Tuesdays and Wednesdays staff work in the office; on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays staff may work remotely.
