Brown v. Board of Education National Historical Park Archives Intern - 400 hours

The Brown v. Board of Education National Historical Park seeks an intern to assist with information management tasks usually associated with graduate work in archives or information science. Congress established the park in 1992 and it has been open to the public since 2004. During that time, the park has accumulated an extensive collection of digital photographs, maps, drawings, and administrative files that need to be organized. Specific tasks may include adding metadata to photos and preparing maps and drawings to be sent to the National Park Service (NPS) Technical Information Center for digitization. The intern may also work to prepare an extensive collection of oral history transcripts and recordings for publication on the park website.
