Information System Security Officer (ISSO)

Key Responsibilities:
  • Tracking Authority to Operate (ATO) documents
  • Identifying, responding to, and remediating any security related IT issues
  • Preparing and submitting Risk Management Framework (RMF) documents and plans for system accreditation, auditing and continuous monitoring, or system disestablishment
  • Providing direction for programs and continuous monitoring to maintain the security posture of resources
  • Auditing server and desktop operating systems and components

Required Qualifications:
  • 2 years’ of work relevant experience and certifications
  • BS degree in information assurance, MIS, business, or related field preferred or relevant years of work experience
  • Expertise with the Risk Management Framework (RMF - NIST SP 800-53)
  • Strong understanding of information systems security best practices and use of security tools and practices
  • Strong organizational skills, quick learner, and demonstrated problem solving
  • Work well independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Security + CE, CISSP or DoD IAT/IAM Level II Certification
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic, demanding environment
  • Experience with Windows servers and an Active Directory environment
  • Able to apply knowledge to complex practical situations
  • Must be a U.S. citizen and have an active U.S. Government Security Clearance
